Meet Our Council
Brianne Falconieri (Secretary)
Brianne’s calling as a Spiritual Director began in 2017 as part of a period of discernment to ministry through the Uniting Church. She has a Bachelor of Psychology and is currently studying a Masters of Spirituality through the University of Divinity. Brianne completed her spiritual direction formation at the House of Prayer and Spirituality in Townsville.
Brianne is now the coordinator and facilitator for the House of Prayer, a contemplative retreat and conference centre. She has a mission and vision to facilitate a place of ecumenical community, retreat, spiritual direction, prayerful and contemplative Christian faith formation.
Brianne is a member of Australian Network for Spiritual Direction, Conference of Spiritual Directors, and Australian Ecumenical Council for Spiritual Direction. Brianne has served on the leadership team with the North Queensland Walk to Emmaus and is involved with Kairos Outside for Women North Queensland.
Sally Jones (Chair)

Sally is a trained and recognised Pastoral Supervisor, Spiritual Director and Mentor.
She is currently the Director of Barnabas Ministries, and Program Director for ‘Listen into Life’ Spiritual Direction and Spiritual Formation Program, which includes supervision of directors-in-formation.
Sally is also in private practice in Sydney’s north-west, offering Pastoral Supervision and Spiritual Direction.
Judy Van Rossum (Treasurer)
Judy is an Anglican priest, spiritual director, and professional supervisor. She has a Grad Dip and Masters in spiritual direction, both completed at Dayspring in Perth. Judy is also a team member of the Tree of Life Spiritual Formation Programme in the Anglican Diocese of Perth. Having spent her final years of full-time ministry in the mining industry as a chaplain, Judy retired in 2022 and offers spiritual direction and supervision through her private practice and in association with the Fullness of Life Centre. She is married to Arthur and they have five adult children between them, and six grandchildren who she enjoys spending time with. Judy also shares her life with Rosie, her crazy black labrador, who ensures retirement is not too quiet!
Liz Faulkner
Home for Liz is among the remnant trees of a Blue Gum High Forest, the traditional lands of the Cammeraigal clan, in Sydney’s north. She is a novice bush-care volunteer and is growing her ability to name her neighbouring plants, people and birds.
Liz is a graduate of the Listen into Life spiritual formation program and loves creating sanctuary spaces for people in the form of retreats and sacred conversations. She has an increasingly ecumenical experience of faith communities and a love of going deeper and wider.
Liz loves wandering and wondering in nature, poetry and listening to people’s stories.
Liz is the ANSD Representative to the Council.
Craig Sadler
Craig is a spiritual director and member of the Stillpoint Program formation team.
He has been a minister for over 20 years, and is currently the minister for leadership and formation with the Churches of Christ, Queensland as well as a formator with the Australian College of Ministry.
Ann Lock
Ann is a spiritual director, an ordained Baptist minister, and supervisor. She spent ten years as Director of WellSpring Spirituality Centre and, during that time, was a member of the Formation Team. Ann is a life professed member of the Community of the Transfiguration and with her husband, Garry, lives at the monastery in Teesdale, Victoria. Ann has three wonderful adult sons and two granddaughters.
Kym Dixon
After completing a degree in Social Work, Kym spent 20 years in Pastoral ministry, while also holding community roles in School Chaplaincy, Homeless Services for women, and Foster Care. She continued study through her Masters program in the areas of Leadership, Spiritual Formation and Pastoral Supervision. Kym is now sharing her time between the Network Resourcing Team, churches of Christ NSW & ACT companioning leaders and churches in their formation and building a private practice in Spiritual Mentoring and Pastoral Supervision. She is in her final year of formation as a Spiritual Director with Listen into Life and is enjoying getting to know the riches of the Spiritual Direction community across Australia. Kym is grateful to live beside the waterways and bushlands of Dharawal country in Southern Sydney.
Kym is a ‘formation student’ representative on the Council.
Wayne Brabin
Wayne is a trained spiritual director, giver of the full spiritual exercises of St Ignatius and an experienced retreat facilitator who also has an extensive professional human resource and human development background. He received his initial spiritual training and formation with the Adelaide Catholic Spiritual Formation Program, followed by Ignatian formation in association with the Jesuits in Australia, Spain and Hong Kong. Wayne is currently the Chairperson of the professional association ‘Companions in the Ministry of the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises’ and a member of ‘Ignatian Heart Spirituality’ in Adelaide. His interests are in offering spiritual nourishment and leadership support to those working in education and parishes, and for individuals by offering retreats, prayer reflection options and spiritual direction. Wayne lives with his wife Stephanie in Adelaide and they have 4 adult children and 7 grandchildren.
Wayne is the ‘Companions’ Representative to the Council.
Joanne Brown
Jo-anne is a spiritual director and pastoral supervisor, who (with her husband Ross) loves leading retreats and enabling others to discover more of their unique selves and to deepen their relationship with God. She is a graduate of the St Francis Spiritual Direction Formation Programme. She loves working with dreams, exploring the body-soul-spirit connection, and using creative expression to open up pathways to faith and contemplative being. Jo currently facilitates two dream groups in her home and is also a supervisor and teacher with the St Francis Formation SD Programme in Brisbane. She lives in Brisbane with her husband and her two cats (Sophia and Charis) and loves spending time with her children and grandchildren.
